After previous links with the likes of Milan and Genoa, Marco Rigoni has opted to join Chievo Verona for 2012-13.
The 32-year-old was being targeted by a number of top-flight clubs after scoring 11 goals in Serie A for Novara last season.
The midfielder was made available for transfer by the now relegated club and Chievo have done a deal for the Italian.
The Verona outfit have confirmed that the player has moved to the Bentegodi on a loan agreement with an option to buy.
Rigoni was also being linked with a switch to Sampdoria.
