Mattia Destro won’t be the last summer signing for Roma, director general Franco Baldini has assured.
The Giallorossi finally got their hands on the striker yesterday following showdown talks with the Siena man’s agents.
“We are looking to form a squad that will make us more competitive in Serie A and we are sure that we will be able to do that,” Baldini stated from the club’s tour of America.
“We’ll continue to make improvements because we know that we are missing something in order to become even stronger.
“The market is still open until the end of August so we are hopeful on that front.”
Meanwhile, Roma boss Zdenek Zeman has also welcomed the Italian Under-21 international’s arrival.
“I’m very happy,” the former Pescara tactician noted. “We will have an extra solution in attack now…”
