Luc Castaignos’ proposed move from Inter to FC Twente has stalled over his transfer fee.
Reports earlier this week suggested that a switch could soon be done, but the Dutch club have put the brakes on the deal.
“There is a gap between how we value the player financially, a difference between what they want and what we are offering,” Twente chief Joop Munsterman told De Telegraaf.
“The Italian club are not in a hurry to sell and there is the possibility that this transfer could take some time.
“We will not be rushed into making a decision.”
The 19-year-old striker joined the Beneamata from Feyenoord a year ago, but struggled to make an impact at San Siro.
He featured in just seven games for the outfit, scoring one goal in the process. It is believed that the Nerazzurri want around €7m.
