Parma have reportedly secured Gonzalo Mastriani, ‘the new Edinson Cavani,’ on a five-year contract from Club Atletico Cerro.
The 19-year-old is already a starlet in Uruguay and plays for the Under-20 national team.
According to this evening’s reports, Parma have clinched a €2m deal for the teenage hitman and he ought to arrive over the next few days.
Mastriani will not take up a non-EU spot, as he has a European passport.
The left-footed striker scored 12 goals in 30 appearances for Cerro in the Uruguayan Primera Division last season.
