Lazio lose Siena friendly

Lazio were surprisingly beaten 1-0 by Siena in a pre-season friendly, as Marcelo Larrondo got the winning goal.

The Biancocelesti are still looking for their form under new Coach Vladimir Petkovic and fell in their first real test of the summer.

Daniele Mannini went close, while Hernanes and Gonzalez tested the goalkeeper.

However, just before half-time Gaetano D’Agostino’s through ball allowed Larrondo to chip Federico Marchetti.

In the second half Lorik Cana moved from midfield to central defence and the chances kept coming with D’Agostino’s free kick, a Mauro Zarate effort wide and Antonio Candreva cracking his shot against the post.

Abdoullay Konko also hit the crossbar in stoppages, but Lazio paid the price for not taking their chances.
