Roma beat Liverpool in America

Roma have collected an impressive 2-1 win against Liverpool in a Boston friendly played at Fenway Park.

Despite the fact that the Premiership giants are ahead of the Italians in terms of pre-season preparation, Zdenek Zeman’s side came out on top.

Michael Bradley, a summer signing from Chievo Verona, opened the scoring is his homeland on 63 minutes.

The capital club then doubled their lead thanks to young midfielder Alessandro Florenzi, who slotted home a rebounded shot by Erik Lamela.

Liverpool’s consolation came with 10 minutes of the game left through Charlie Adam.

Alberto Aquilani, formerly of Roma, started for the Reds, but Fabio Borini didn’t feature following his recent move from the Stadio Olimpico.
