Torino have extended the contract of Valerio Di Cesare, a defender with a past at Chelsea.
The now 29-year-old has committed his future to the newly-promoted Granata until the summer of 2014.
Di Cesare grew up in the Lazio youth system, but was snapped up by Chelsea in 2001. However, he never played for the first team.
He moved back to Italy in 2004 and has had spells at Avellino, Albinoleffe, Catanzaro, Mantova and Vicenza.
This will be the player’s first season in the Italian top flight.
