Sannino: Balzaretti wants to stay

Giuseppe Sannino believes that even if discussions over Federico Balzaretti’s future are due, the left-back wants to stay with Palermo.

President Maurizio Zamparini has admitted today that the full-back is set for talks early next week over a proposed transfer to Napoli.

However, his Coach believes that the Paris Saint-Germain target intends to stay with the Sicilians.

“We have promised to meet again on July 31 but for me at the moment he is a Palermo player, although there is always little certainty in football,” Sannino told Radio Radio.

“I have spoken to the guy and he would like to stay here. Balzaretti was clear to me, certainly there is a lot of fuss around his name at the moment, but my job will always be to work with those available to me.”
