There are surprising reports that Genoa general manager Pietro Lo Monaco is ready to quit after a row with President Enrico Preziosi.
Lo Monaco only left his job at Catania in order to take the post at Marassi two months ago, but already there have been problems.
According to the rumours, the two clashed over the decision to loan Mattia Perin to Pescara.
Lo Monaco had repeatedly stated he wanted to keep the goalkeeper in order to be Sebastien Frey’s understudy, but appears to have been ignored by President Preziosi.
It would be a remarkable turnaround, especially considering Lo Monaco has not even been formally appointed awaiting the shareholders’ meeting on July 31.
