No Super Cup change for Beijing

It’s claimed that the Lega have told Napoli they cannot pull out of the Italian Super Cup or change the Beijing venue.

There are reports in this morning’s papers that President Aurelio De Laurentiis is irritated at the decision to play in China on August 11.

He tried to convince the Lega and opponents Juventus to move the match to an Italian stadium instead.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia this evening, the Lega has got back to him with a resounding no to this proposal.

The Italian Super Cup is between the Coppa Italia holders and the Scudetto winners.

In recent years it has often been held abroad, above all in Beijing’s Olympic Stadium.
