Lazio are reportedly on the verge of signing Brazilian central defender Xandao from Desportivo Brasil.

The 24-year-old has been linked with the Biancocelesti for several weeks and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations are nearing a positive conclusion.

The centre-back spent last season on loan at Sporting CP and is thought to be worth around €3m.

Full name Alexandre Luiz Reame, Xandao is a very tall defender who stands at 1.93m (6ft 4in).
