Milan are showing an interest in Catania midfielder Francesco Lodi, according to Sport Mediaset.
Diavolo boss Massimiliano Allegri revealed a desire for a new playmaker earlier this summer and the Italian is today being paired.
The former Udinese player was a revelation in Serie A last term and was on the radar of Italy boss Cesare Prandelli – although he was never called up by the tactician.
It is being claimed that Milan have spoken with the 28-year-old’s agent to understand the potential costs involved in signing him.
Lodi scored nine goals in 37 League games during 2011-12.
