Gianluigi Buffon is reportedly ready to sign a new contract tying him to Juventus until June 2016.
The goalkeeper has often said he intends to end his career in Turin and his current deal expires next summer.
According to the latest reports in the Italian newspapers, Buffon is set to meet with President Andrea Agnelli over the next few days.
There will be a reduction in wages, as many of the old guard are asked to consider this possibility during a financial crisis.
The contract is expected to be renewed until June 2015 or even 2016.
