Real Sociedad look to have beaten the competition to the signature of full-back Jose Angel, as reports indicate they are in ‘advanced talks’.
Angel arrived in Rome last summer from Sporting de Gijon in La Liga, but has been linked with a return to Spain this year, with Valencia, Benfica and La Real linked with the 22-year-old.
According to reports in Spain, it is the side from Anoeta that have won the race and are currently in advanced talks for the left-sided defender.
It is understood that Real Sociedad will take Angel on an initial 12-month loan, with an option in place to purchase the player next summer, should they wish.
Roma paid Sporting €4.5m for the player last summer, an amount that made him the now-relegated Spanish side’s most expensive sale in their history.
