Francesco Totti had an injury scare this morning when he left Roma’s Austrian training camp for tests on a knee problem in Italy.
The captain had been due to have the check-up on the knee, which has been operated on twice before, after August 15.
However, he felt pain for several days in a row and medical stuff rushed him back to Rome for a consultation, leaving the team’s pre-season training camp in Austria.
It is reported Totti will see Professor Mariani on Thursday morning and undergo a series of tests at the clinic.
Roma’s season opener is on August 26 against Catania.
