Reports in Italy suggest that David Pizarro will rescind his Roma contract today before then joining Fiorentina.
The Chilean is one of a number of Giallorosso players training separately from the main squad at the moment, having been identified by Coach Zdenek Zeman as surplus to requirements.
Pizarro has been linked with River Plate recently, but reports today suggest that he will stay in Italy with Fiorentina.
Sky Sport Italia believe that the 32-year-old and his agent will meet with director general Franco Baldini later today to finalise an agreement to rescind his Roma contract early.
This will free the player to hold talks and sign for any other club, with it then believed that the former Inter man will travel north to Florence to join La Viola.
Pizarro is reportedly close to agreeing a one-year contract with Fiorentina, which would carry an option to extend into a second year too.
