Goran Pandev hopes Napoli pick up where they left off last season, beating Juventus to silverware, but admits “I really miss Pocho Lavezzi.”

The Macedonian international made his loan move from Inter permanent this summer and has a more important role in the side now that Ezequiel Lavezzi has gone to PSG for around €29m.

He is expected to start in Saturday’s Italian Super Cup clash with Juve in Beijing, having beaten the Bianconeri in the Coppa Italia Final in May.

“We want to give a sense of consistency to that success and so will do everything we can to beat Juve,” Pandev told Sky Sport Italia.

“Naturally, Juventus are also strong and focused on winning the Super Cup. I am not interested in the betting trial, as I am thinking only about Napoli.

“My objective is to win this game more than score an individual goal. We did good pre-season training and are getting better session by session.

“This season is going to be very difficult and action-packed. We have a great squad, even without Lavezzi. I really miss Pocho, as a person as well as a player.”
