Lazio set Diakite ultimatum

Modibo Diakitè reportedly has until tomorrow to accept a Lazio contract renewal or leave the Olimpico.

The Malian defender has been in negotiations for an extension for several weeks, but the talks seem to have broken down.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Lazio have set an ultimatum that he will be put on the market if he doesn’t give a response by Monday.

The latest contract proposal is a five-year deal worth €0.65m per season plus performance-related bonuses.

Diakitè has been linked with Juventus and Milan.
