Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Giulio Migliaccio wants to leave the club for family reasons and a transfer could be imminent.
The 31-year-old midfielder has played for the Sicilian club since 2007 but looks set to be on the move this summer, with Atalanta leading the chase for his signature.
“Hope remains, but he asked to be sold for family reasons,” admitted President Zamparini admitted to Sky Sport Italia.
“I love him and I will try to please him.”
Arevalo Rios has already been signed by Zamparini to fill Migliaccio’s boots and the new arrival has been labelled ‘our Gattuso’ by his President.
The Udine-native also spoke about the need to replace Federico Balzaretti, who has moved to Roma.
“Sporting director Giorgio Perinetti is working hard, we need a reinforcement in defence.
“Maybe a left-back will arrive but let’s see what is on the market. We want a more Italian representation for Palermo.”
