Torino are known admirers, but this morning saw Palermo emerge as potential rivals for his signature, in light of requiring a replacement for Federico Balzaretti, who they recently sold to Roma.

However, Braida has denied that any talks whatsoever have taken place for the Rossoneri’s left-sided defender.

“I cannot but deny the existence of possible interest from Palermo for Mesbah,” he told Palermo24.net.

“I cannot but deny it because there is no deal, I have never spoken to anyone about Mesbah.”

However, Rosanero director general Giorgio Perinetti was a little more forthcoming, telling Tgs that Mesbah was one of ‘several options being evaluated’.
