Napoli think about Ziegler

Napoli could decide to target Juventus’ Reto Ziegler after they missed out on signing Federico Balzaretti.

The latter was a wanted man at the Stadio San Paolo, but the left-back decided to leave Palermo for Roma instead.

Now, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Ziegler is on the Azzurri’s radar even though no official contact between the two clubs has yet been made.

Ziegler, 26, joined Juventus on a Bosman free transfer from Sampdoria last summer – but he was instantly shipped out.

Having failed to convince boss Antonio Conte of his abilities in pre-season, Ziegler was sent out on loan to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The Swiss international, formerly of Grasshoppers, Hamburg, Tottenham and Wigan, scored one goal in 37 League games for the Turkish outfit last term.
