Diego Forlan has defended his one and only campaign with Italian giants Inter. “Nobody did well last season.”
The Uruguayan joined the Nerazzurri last summer from Atletico Madrid as a replacement for Samuel Eto’o, but netted just twice in 20 games.
Last month, he rescinded his contract with the Nerazzurri a year early and joined Internacional on a free transfer.
“I enjoyed my year at Inter alongside some excellent people,” the former Villarreal centre-forward told Sky Sport Italia.
“Sometimes you play well and sometimes you don’t, but nobody at Inter had a really good campaign last season.
“Now I have the opportunity to play my football in Brazil and I want to take advantage of that.”
