Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin has revealed that his club are keen on his former Porto teammate Fernando.
“Inter are very interested in Fernando,” the Colombian is quoted as saying on Thursday afternoon. “They’ve asked me about him and I spoke well of the player.
“I’d be really happy if he decided to come and play his football over here. He’s a top player who would be able to help us out a lot.”
Guarin joined Inter in January on loan from the Portuguese giants and was signed outright at the end of the season.
Fernando is a 25-year-old Brazilian who is usually deployed as a defensive midfielder. He joined his current club in 2007 from Vila Nova.
