Fiorentina want Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel but his price tag could prove prohibitive.
The Viola have already pulled off a number of impressive transfer coups this summer, bringing the likes of Alberto Aquilani and Borja Valero to Florence to work with their new Coach Vincenzo Montella.
One area of their squad which still looks slightly threadbare however is the attack, something today's La Repubblica suggests they are looking to Van Wolfswinkel to remedy.
However given that Inter were quoted €16m for his services last year, the Dutchman may well be outwith the Gigliati's price range.
A 23-year-old centre forward, Van Wolfswinkel made his name in the Eredivisie with Utrecht before winning a €5.4m transfer to Sporting last summer. He was the fourth highest scorer in the Portuguese League last season, hitting 14 goals.
