Andrea Barzagli has urged his Juventus side to show the same appetite for success which helped them to the title last term.
The Old Lady won the Scudetto after finishing the previous two seasons in the Italian top flight in seventh place.
“We weren't favourites when we set out last year, but we believed in ourselves and we ran out as winners,” the January 2011 signing from Wolfsburg stated.
“We just need to make sure we keep going out there with the same hunger and determination, otherwise you stop going forward.”
Juventus have enjoyed a reasonably good pre-season after wins against Napoli in the Italian Super Cup and a 3-2 triumph over Milan on Sunday.
“We're working really hard,” added the Italian international. “The new lads have settled in well and the results are there for all to see.
“This match against Milan was an important test and we came through it well. We showed people what we're made of.
“We weren't on top of our game in the Super Cup but we played well on Sunday, even though we were missing a couple of key men.”
