Antonio Cassano says he’s realised a dream after completing a move to Inter – the team of his heart.
The Italian has today been confirmed as a Nerazzurri player after a swap deal with Giampaolo Pazzini was agreed with Milan.
“After an eternity, I have arrived at the club which I support,” Cassano, who was a known Beneamata supporter as a boy, told Inter Channel.
“It’s important for me. It doesn’t get better than joining the club which you are a fan of. I have re-found my smile.”
Cassano has moved to the other side of San Siro after he asked Milan to sell him after just 18 months at the Meazza.
“The most important thing for me now is to get into the best shape, starting with the game at Pescara,” he noted.
The former Bari, Roma, Real Madrid and Sampdoria player also confirmed which jersey he’ll have on his back this term.
“I’ll wear the No 99 shirt,” he added. “I told the club that the number means a lot to me.”
Cassano had the same squad number at Sampdoria and Milan.
