Juventus showed no interest in Antonio Cassano ahead of his move from Milan to city rivals Inter this week, his agent has noted.

The Italian was available for transfer after asking the Diavolo to be sold, but the Old Lady were not even tempted to make an enquiry.

“Juventus didn’t think about Cassano,” Giuseppe Bozzo told Sky Sport Italia. “I think that his character is not one that would adapt to a Coach like Antonio Conte.”

The player’s decision to leave the Rossoneri did come as a shock considering that he only joined Milan 18 months ago.

“It will be up to Cassano to explain why he wanted a move,” Bozzo continued. “If something needs to be said then he’ll say it.

“I just need to deal with situations that can become dangerous and I made a move when the player explicitly requested a transfer away from Milan.”

Cassano moved to San Siro in January 2011 after a fall out with Sampdoria chief Riccardo Garrone. They then helped him back to full fitness for Euro 2012 after he suffered a small stroke last year.

“I would just like to say thank you to Milan for what they have done for the player in these years, but it is clear that situations can change with time,” Bozzo added.

“Antonio can create problems when he doesn’t enjoy his football.”

It is understood that Cassano’s relationship with boss Massimiliano Allegri was one factor in his decision to join the Nerazzurri.
