Davide Biondini is pleased to join Atalanta, but aimed a sideswipe at his former club. “I was hurt by Genoa.”
“It took just two days to complete negotiations. I was not prepared and didn’t expect to be leaving Genoa,” he said in his Press conference.
“I am leaving behind a city and people who cared for me, but I was hurt by Genoa. That wound has not yet healed.
“At least here I find a serious, professional club with important objectives and an enticing project.”
Biondini had also been linked with Juventus and Milan over the summer, but ends up in Bergamo.
“I am your classic midfield warrior. Fans really don’t expect a nutmeg or classy footwork from me, but they can relax because I always give my all for the team and never give up.”
