Alessio Cerci insisted he will “show who I am and what I can do” after completing a transfer from Fiorentina to Torino.

The winger was an increasingly unpopular figure among fans in Florence due to a reported hard-partying lifestyle.

“A lot has been said about me. I am a young lad and have made a few mistakes, but I am very relaxed and I’ll prove it,” he said at his presentation.

“I aim to show who I am and what I can do. I think I can bring a great deal to the Torino cause. I have to find the calm that allows me to express myself at my best.”

Cerci confirmed Coach Giampiero Ventura was a large part of why he decided to make this switch.

“Ventura is a great teacher and it is thanks to him that I’ve become the player I am now. He is a reference point and I am happy to be here working with him again.”

Torino have bought 50 per cent of Cerci’s contract from Fiorentina for €2.5m and the option to buy the remaining half at the end of the season.
