Udinese patron Giampaolo Pozzo has confirmed the imminent arrival of Fiorentina midfielder Andrea Lazzari.
The rumour had been circulating over the last few days and it seems as if negotiations have been concluded for the 27-year-old.
“Lazzari? I can confirm his arrival,” Pozzo told Mediaset Premium ahead of tonight’s Champions League play-off against Sporting Braga.
The first leg ended 1-1 in Portugal and the Friulani hope to reach the group phase after last season’s elimination to Arsenal.
“We experienced the Champions League in the summer of 2005 and played games against great clubs. We tried again last year, but could not get past Arsenal.
“This year we have the right team to repeat the achievement of winning the play-off.”
