Udinese have insisted that boss Francesco Guidolin will remain as Coach despite their Champions League exit.

The tactician raised doubts about his future last night during the post-match interviews following the penalty shoot-out loss to Braga.

Guidolin was then absent from this morning’s training session which only added fuel to the fire of speculation.

“Guidolin will not leave Udine and he will remain as our Coach,” patron Giampaolo Pozzo stated after a meeting with the former Parma Coach.

“I spoke with him this morning. He, like the rest of us, is struggling with the result of last night’s game, but he won’t be leaving us.”
