“Genoa are close to signing Peruvian international Juan Manuel Vargas, who spent the last four seasons at Acf Fiorentina,” read a statement.
“The agreements have been reached and, save for complications, will be ratified after the remaining paperwork is completed.
“Vargas will travel to Genoa and undergo a medical on Thursday. The 29-year-old is very experienced on the international stage and could have his first training session with Genoa tomorrow afternoon.”
