Marco Borriello is reportedly ready to accept a return to Genoa after being told to find a new club by Roma.
The striker has apparently given the green light for the move, but it depends on whether Alberto Gilardino seals his proposed switch to Bologna.
Borriello, who spent six months on loan at Juventus last term, underlined his potential in front of goal during a previous spell at Marassi.
He scored 19 goals in 35 League games back in the 2007-08 campaign which earned him a recall to Italian giants Milan.
