Genoa Coach Gigi De Canio is enjoying his new arrivals and could start Marco Borriello against Catania this evening.
The striker arrived from Roma on transfer deadline day and is already in the squad for this trip to the Stadio Massimino.
He is joined by Juan Manuel Vargas, who made the move from Fiorentina, and Damiano Ferronetti.
“The club worked very well, achieving its targets and cutting down excess numbers without losing in competitiveness,” said De Canio.
“As for Catania, they are now a regular fixture in Serie A. As well as a solid tactical base, they have players of the utmost quality and are often talked about on the transfer market.
“I doubt the Elefantini will be battling against relegation this season.”
