Insigne for Italy qualifiers

Lorenzo Insigne has received his debut senior Italy call-up for the World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Malta, while Giampaolo Pazzini returns.

Coach Cesare Prandelli has named his squad for the games in Sofia on Friday and in Modena next Tuesday.

Napoli hitman Insigne has earned his first senior call-up after impressing for the Under-21 side.

Pazzini returns after his hat-trick for Milan this weekend, while Pablo Daniel Osvaldo also comes back to the Azzurri fold.

Antonio Cassano is left out and Mario Balotelli is given leave so he can undergo eye surgery for recurring conjunctivitis.
