Sampdoria’s forgotten captain Angelo Palombo could be targeted by Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.
The midfielder no longer features in Doria's plans and, after failing to move in the summer or accept the rescission of his contract, he’s been frozen out of the side.
According to reports in Italy on Friday, the 30-year-old could be set for a move once the transfer window re-opens.
Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande may make a bid for the former Fiorentina man at the request of Marcello Lippi.
The latter worked with Palombo while he was in charge of the Italian national side.
