Maurizio Zamparini launched another scathing attack on his Palermo critics. “If they can find our supposed ‘slush fund’ then they can have it.”

The President was so angry at reports the club has been holding back on the transfer market and keeping cash stored aside that he released an official statement.

“Considering the only partially-accurate data published by the media, who present a completely distorted vision of the real U.S. Palermo finances, we invite the journalists to have a more detailed look at our balance sheet.

“If they can find our supposed ‘slush fund,’ then they can have it. It will be a gift to them. Giving snippets of data distorts the real economic situation at Palermo and gives the fans an incorrect view of the club in such a difficult moment.

“The truth is precious and as such must always be defended. Maurizio Zamparini.”

This statement comes just hours after President Zamparini announced he was so hurt by criticism that he was considering selling the club.
