Getting his own back on Napoli isn't a concern for Parma boss Roberto Donadoni, according to Gialloblu director general Pietro Leonardi.
After two years coaching the Italian national team Donadoni replaced Edy Reja at the San Paolo in March 2009. However he lasted only 18 games in the Vesuviani hotseat before being replaced with current incumbent Walter Mazzarri.
Speaking to Radio Marte today, Leonardi stressed that Donadoni does have one thing in mind, but it's not vengeance.
“I don’t think he feels he needs to take revenge for being fired a few years ago. He lives every game with the greatest respect for those he’s faced, and his only thought is three points,” said the former Udinese” data-scaytid=”21″>Udinese official.
Napoli are currently joint top of Serie A after wins over Palermo and Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”27″>Fiorentina, while Parma are 13th having beaten Chievo on Matchday 2.
“The Azzurri were built with different goals to ours,” Leonardi continued.
“Donadoni is an excellent Coach and I don’t think he will change the system to fit the characteristics of Napoli, he always asks for the most from the players regardless of the opponent.”
Parma have won two of their last three visits to the San Paolo.
