Napoli new boy Omar El Kaddouri has played down similarities with Marek Hamsik and Zinedine Zidane.
The attacking midfielder moved to the Stadio San Paolo last month after a co-ownership deal was agreed with Brescia.
“I’m not scared of the comparisons, but I don’t like them,” noted the 22-year-old. “Hamsik and Zidane are two champions, whereas I have it all to prove.
“I’m here for this reason and I hope to illustrate my worth on the field of play.”
The Belgium Under-21 international can be used in a variety of attacking positions, but he has a preferred role.
“I was born as a Trequartista, but I was also used out wide and as a second striker last term,” he continued.
“I know that the competition for places is fierce here, but I hope to find some space in the team.”
