Just hours after the reports about Santiago Arias emerged, his agent has confirmed “we are in direct contact with Inter.”
“We are in direct contact with Inter and I know full well they are continuing to monitor Santiago Arias,” agent Marcelo Ferreyra told Radio Renascença.
“I won’t say there is an official proposal, nor negotiations in place. To say they want to buy him right now is false too.
“At this moment Inter are observing Arias, that is all. As things stand, there are no actual negotiations for a move.
“Anything can happen in football and Inter are keeping an eye on the lad.”
He'd be seen as a replacement for Douglas Maicon and could move in January for €2m.
