The Cagliari goalkeeper performed an extraordinary reaction parry in today’s 1-1 draw with Palermo.

Miccoli’s long-range free kick swerved in the air and was already behind Agazzi, who was stretched out on the ground.

However, the shot-stopper lifted his trailing foot for a scorpion flick to backheel the ball off the line.

“It’s a save I study in training,” joked Agazzi on Sky Sport Italia.

“I was incredibly lucky! Would I be able to repeat it? Certainly, but I’d wreck my knee! I already snapped one cruciate ligament in my career.

“It really was an incredibly dangerous save to make.”
