Genoa have dismissed speculation that they have agreed to sell Luca Antonelli to Palermo in January.
The 25-year-old is being linked with a switch to the Stadio Barbera, but the Rossoblu are adamant that Antonelli is going nowhere.
“It seems a bit premature to talk about transfers given that that summer session has only just finished,” sporting director Stefano Capozucca stated.
“Anyhow, Antonelli is a fundamental player for the project here at Genoa. He is not on the transfer market and I don’t think he will be anytime soon.”
The Italian international, formerly of Bari and Milan, moved to Marassi in January 2011 after impressing in Serie A with Parma.
