Luca Toni has spoken of his joy at returning to Fiorentina, and discussed the optimism surrounding the team.
“The difference is made by the players aiming to meet our objectives,” stated the deadline day arrival in an interview with TG Sport.
“We have players of the highest quality here, I am talking about people like David Pizarro and Borja Valero, not only speaking of Stevan Jovetic. Everyone wants to prove their worth.”
“This is why I am very happy to be back in Florence. It is an electric city, and I want to thank the fans very much for the reception I got last weekend.”
Jovetic assisted Toni in scoring on his debut last Sunday against Catania. It was a particularly emotional moment for the 35-year-old, who dedicated the goal to 'those who have gone', but not he is seeking to dwell on it.
“With the goal I thought about a lot of things, but now I am only looking forward.”
Toni and his teammates are away to Parma this Saturday.
