De Canio 'on the right track'

Gigi De Canio believes Genoa can end Lazio’s perfect record on Sunday evening. “We are on the right track.”

The Rossoblu have shown a tendency to throw away leads so far this season, twice falling to defeat from a winning position.

On the other hand, the Biancocelesti have won all three Serie A games and are joint top of the table. Click here for a match preview.

“I would like to see a solid and efficient Genoa,” said Coach De Canio in his Press conference.

“In recent games we have lost due to negative incidents, bad luck and our own mistakes. This should not make us see things as worse than they really are, because we are on the right track.

“We are facing a Lazio side who are in the elite of Italian football. I will only decide my starting XI tomorrow afternoon.”

Marco Rossi and Juan Manuel Vargas are out for at least three weeks due to injury.
