Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola would consider the option of working in Italy, says Carlo Mazzone.
The latter knows the former playmaker well given that he was his Coach at Brescia between 2001 and 2003.
Guardiola is currently taking a year out after phenomenal success at the Nou Camp, but Mazzone wouldn’t be surprised to see him in Serie A sometime soon.
“I haven’t heard from him in a while, but I don’t think he wants to stop coaching at his young age,” the veteran told Il Sussidiario.
“I think he’ll work in Italy one day. I don’t know when, but I have this impression.
“He phoned me once and told me that he’d come to see me. I asked whether that would be as a tourist or as a Coach of an Italian team. He said both.
“I think he could be working in the city of Milan next year, but I don’t know whether at Inter or Milan. I can’t see him with any of the Roman clubs.”
Milan have been linked with the Spaniard given the uncertainty over the future of Massimiliano Allegri.
