Stephan El Shaarawy explains why he is inspired by Kaka and has been compared to Samuel Eto’o. “I work hard in attack and defence.”
The striker has scored three goals in the last two games for Milan and Vice-President Adriano Galliani said he reminded him of ex-Inter star Eto’o.
“Galliani said this because, like Eto’o, I work hard in attack and defence. That is what Massimiliano Allegri asks of me.
“I have always said Kaka is the player who inspired me the most, above all because we have fairly similar characteristics. In any case, I am Stephan El Shaarawy and am focused on doing well with my own qualities,” the 19-year-old told Milan Channel.
“I want to dedicate the goals and last night’s victory to all our fans who stayed close to the squad. The team remained united despite the fact we are going through a particularly complicated period.
“I also dedicated them to the Coach, though he knows that he has the full faith of the entire team. I am trying to pay him back for everything he gave me.”
The ‘Little Pharaoh’ already has a senior Italy cap to his name, but remains a regular with the Under-21 side.
“I always hope to be called again, though now I have to focus on the Under-21 European play-offs against Sweden and of course Milan.”
