Inter stalwart Javier Zanetti would rather be a director than a Coach at the club when he eventually hangs up his boots.
The 39-year-old - who recently made his 800th appearance for the club and was benched for the first time since 2008 against Siena last Sunday – has often been tipped as a future Nerazzurri Coach or even President.
“I will continue to play as long as I have fun, I feel very good physically,” he notes in an interview with PerformGroup today.
“When it's time to make a decision, I'll do it in peace. Coach? No I would be more interested in becoming an Inter director.
“I'd like to pursue that career, to help Inter remain a great club, and I think it might be interesting working behind a desk,” grinned the tireless fullback.
“President? No, I cannot aspire to that office for a long time. Anyway, I will try to do my best, as I have always done on the field.”
