Antonio Di Natale skipped Udinese’s training session yesterday, reportedly due to a blazing row with Coach Francesco Guidolin.
The striker did not take part in Friday’s session and La Gazzetta dello Sport claims this is down to a falling out between the two most symbolic figures at the club.
There are two versions of events, as one claims the row was at the start of the training session in front of the other players, while the other says the argument was in the locker room when they were alone.
To raise the tension level even further, it’s reported that Di Natale’s agent Bruno Carpeggiani rushed to Udine last night for crisis talks.
Udinese have had a disastrous start to the season, going out of the Champions League play-offs and struggling to five points in as many Serie A games.
It now seems unlikely that Di Natale will play against Genoa in the Sunday lunchtime match.
