Director general Giorgio Perinetti has confirmed he is leaving Palermo after just three months. “Not everything can go well in life.”

Perinetti was brought in from Siena over the summer along with Coach Giuseppe Sannino to build a new era in Sicily.

However, Sannino was sacked after just three Serie A games, while Perinetti is terminating his contract after the club hired new general manager Pietro Lo Monaco on Friday.

“There will be another meeting to define the details of the contract rescission. I will soon formalise my departure,” Perinetti told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Not everything can go well in life.”

It was his third stint at Palermo after spells from 1993 and again from 2002. Perinetti opted to leave rather than be demoted to the role of assistant to Lo Monaco.
