Today’s home defeat to Pescara has sparked reports Cagliari will sack Massimo Ficcadenti, as Edy Reja is the top candidate to step in.
The Sardinians are now the only team in Serie A still without a victory and were beaten 2-1 at the new Is Arenas by newly-promoted Pescara.
President Massimo Cellino was in the stands and left the stadium early, while Coach Ficcadenti opted not to speak with the media.
There are reports circulating that former Lazio boss Reja is the favourite to take over, but other options include Delio Rossi and current Cagliari youth team tactician Diego Lopez.
